The Anti-Bullying Charter

I promise to

  1. Remember that any kind of bullying, for any reason, is wrong.
  2. Speak out against bullying and help others understand it is wrong.
  3. Accept that everyone is different.
  4. Think before I speak or act.
  5. Help others to feel confident enough to speak up if they are being bullied.

I believe that this will bring us together so everyone can be included.

We all have the right to a safe and happy life. Everyone should have the freedom to live their life the way they want – without feeling scared, left out, treated unfairly or bullied.

By signing this charter you are confirming that you are over 12 years of age and giving your consent for ENABLE Scotland to use your email address as part of the ‘Open Your Mind Not Your Mouth’ anti-bullying campaign. This is in accordance with the Data Protection Act of 1988. The ‘Open Your Mind Not Your Mouth’ campaign from ENABLE Scotland will also be used via social media networks. ENABLE Scotland is not responsible for the content posted by other individuals on these social media networks. ENABLE Scotland will monitor the social network platforms for any misuse and will deal with any issues effectively and promptly. Your email address will not be distributed to any other individuals or organisations. By opting-in to the above charter, you are stating you would like to receive further marketing communications material about the ‘Open Your Mind Not Your Mouth’ anti-bullying campaign. Your email address will be stored securely on our computer system. You can see the information held about you on computer or ask for a printed copy, you have the right to have this information removed and the right to review your consent form at any stage. By opting in to become a member of ENABLE Scotland, you will receive further correspondence from ENABLE Scotland about our campaigns and events. Membership to ENABLE Scotland is free and will be renewed annually. An email will be sent to your email address when you opt-in to become a member of ENABLE Scotland asking for information such as your home address, contact telephone number and date of birth.
